In October, the national production of vehicles was 38,659 units, 3.7% more compared to September and 11.8% below the performance of the same month last year.
The sector exported 22,028 vehicles, 5.6% less than the previous month and 4.0% more compared to the volume of October 2017.
In wholesale sales, the sector marketed to the dealer network 37,207 units, which showed a decline of 12.7% regarding the previous month and of 50% in comparison with October last year.
The Monthly report of the Association of Automotive Makers (ADEFA) shows that in October the automotive terminals produced 38,659 vehicles (cars and utility vehicles), which shows an improvement of 3.7% in relation to the 37,267 units which were produced in September and a drop of 11.8% compared to October 2017 when 43,854 vehicles were produced.
Between January and October, the sector produced 409,366 units, representing a 3.7% improvement in relation to the 394,900 units that were produced in the same period last year.
In October, the automakers exported 22,028 vehicles among cars and light utility vehicles, reflecting a drop of 5.6% in relation to the volume exported in September and a 4.0% rise compared to the 21,176 units that were exported in October of 2017.
In the annual accumulated the terminals exported a total of 220,365 units, which means, 27.9% more than the same period of 2017.
Finally, the monthly statistics of wholesale sales reflect that in October 37,207 units were marketed to the network, that is, a 12.7% drop compared to the 42,628 sold in September and of 50% according to the performance of the same month last year, when 74,416 units were delivered to the dealer network.
With the partial data of October, the annual accumulated, stood at 600,303 units marketed to the network, that is, 16% less in relation to the sales of the same period last year.
